About Us
Waylands Farm Cottages is owned and run by Kathy and Andy French who, after 25 years exile in London, finally managed to return to Kathy's roots in the West Country in 2004. After many, all too brief, visits to this fantastic part of the world with our young family, we decided to move here permanently and become part of this welcoming and vibrant local community. |

Waylands Farm Cottages consists of the former farmhouse, barns and farmyard of the historic Waylands Farm. The farm, organic for many years, is part of the Duchy of Cornwall and is farmed by our good friends and neighbours Geoffrey and Giles Maddever who are second and third generation tenants on the farm. Waylands Farm provides an excellent base for visiting the beaches, attractions and countryside of Cornwall with quiet seclusion to come back to and relax in.
In addition, we have a cottage in the centre of Polperro fishing village which is available to rent and also provides an excellent touring base. Being in the heart of the village our cottage gives access to six pubs and more restaurants than we have fingers to count them on, all within a few minutes walk. |

We live at the farm and are generally available to help and advise on how you can enjoy your time in Cornwall doing the things that you like to do and seeing the things that you like to see. We haven't yet been and done everything in Cornwall, but we're getting there!.
We like a chat with our guests and are always keen to hear what they have found and how they liked it so we can add to our knowledge. We try our best to point our guests in the right direction to get the most out of their holiday in this beautiful part of the world known locally as Kernow. |
