Approach to the Cottage

Melrose is approached via the main street in Polperro and then 75m down a cul-de-sac.

Arrival

Cars can park for a short period outside of the front door to the cottage at other times cars need to be parked in the integral garage (dimensions available on request) or in the village car park.

Main Entrance

Access to the cottage is up 2 steps to the front which has an open width of 75cm. There is a switched light next to the front door.

Standard heights & widths

Unless stated otherwise, all light switches are at an approximate height of 135cm, all power sockets are at an approximate height of 10cm (except sockets for heaters where controls exist on the heater) and all doorways approximately 72cm in width.

All main rooms are carpeted unless stated otherwise.

Ground Floor

Lounge/Diner

Tiled floor and rugs.

Kitchen

Tiled floor.

All units and white goods are of standard height unless otherwise stated. Sockets and switches in the kitchen area are 20cm above the work surface.

Staircase to first floor

The staircase has a width of 56cm and has two turns to the first floor landing.

Main (Double) Bedroom

There is 80cm access on both sides of the bed.

Pull cord main light switch over bed.

En suite shower room to Main Bedroom

Vinyl floor.

Light, heater and shower heater all operated by pull cord switches.

Bunk Bedded Room

There is a minimum 100cm access around the bed.

Secondary (Double) Bedroom

There is 60cm and 110cm access on the sides of the bed.

Bathroom

Vinyl floor.

Light and heater both operated by pull cord switches.

Separate WC Room

Vinyl floor.

Light and extractor fan are both operated by pull cord switches.

Grounds & Gardens

The courtyard garden is reached from the back entrance via the kitchen or via a gate from the front of the cottage.

There are 6 steps to the garden.

The laundry room and garden furniture store are accessed from the garden on level ground.

Public Transport

The nearest train station in in Looe which is approximately 8km away.

The nearest bus request stop is approximately 500m away. Buses go to Looe,  Polruan/Fowey and Plymouth. Additional routes operate from Looe.

There are many taxi firms operating in the Looe, Polperro and Pelynt area.

Additional Information

Only Orange provides a mobile network service in the village.

There is a public payphone approximately 25m from the cottage.

WiFi broadband internet access is available in the Internet Café which is 50m away.

All pillows and duvets are filled with man made materials.

There are convenience stores in the village, there is a small Somerfield, Co-Op and Spar plus other convenience stores in Looe which is 8km away, and there is a Morrisons Superstore in Liskeard 15km away.
