The Great Western Jazz Company
The Great Western Jazz Company draws upon the classic American Songbook, as well as popular Dixieland and small band swing numbers, for its repertoire. Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, and Benny Goodman 'rub shoulders 'with Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and George Gershwin.The Great Western Jazz company features six of south wests most experienced jazz musicians, playing music they love - the popular music from the jazz and swing area. Talk The Looe Island Gull Ringing Project
Meet upstairs in the RNLI Lifeboat Station East Looe - Looe Island supports the 2nd largest colony of greater black backed gulls in Cornwall. bruce Taggart from Cornwall Bird Watching & Prewervation Society will tell us the work he is doing with local volunteers to tag & monitor these magnificent creatures. Cost free but donations to the VMCA group welcome.
